The Statue of Liberty in New York
The little mermaid in Copenhagen
Manneken Pis in Brussels
Many different stories are told around the origin of this little boy’s statue .
I can’t tell which one holds the truth but there he stands in a bit of a compromising position.
There is a whole wardrobe designed for him and from time to time he can be seen in an outfit.
As he is only about 60 cm tall, more than one person told me about their disappointment to see it because they expected a life size statue

we have seen this nude Manneken Pis in Brussels too – and have been very amused by the versions in the shop windows nearby: many made of chocolate – even larger sized than original!

What a fun post! I got to see the little peeing boy when I was in Brussels. I found it amusing that the chocolate shops in the nearby square sold little chocolate peeing boys.

I even bought myself a useless little timble with the Manneken on top of it – then passed it on to someone who visited the place long ago and lost her momento
